Front Case is a new casing for CFM56 engine. Machining hours itself took about 20hrs on roughing stage only. From solid round forging M152 material, it will be turn at "Vertical Lathe" machine to preparation stage. Next operation will be at "Horizontal Milling" machine. At the end of the milling operation the part will be slitted into two separated parts. Tooling cost for both operation estimated to be around RM 50k at the starting stage.

Once it finish to the complete assembled engine. The CFM56-5A powerplant will generate 22,000-26,500 lbs of thrust. The main engine to powered the A320 of Airbus entry into the single-aisle market. The engine initial developement contract in 1984. First engine test in 1986 and enter the market in 1988. Currently more than 1,100 engine in the market with more than million flying hours.
